Since Monday, Rockstar has been posting teaser images via their Twitter, changing their profile avatar and website to match the red and black motif. Today Rockstar posted another tweet detailing and announcing the game’s release for next year.
This release strategy is similar to that of the highly successful Grand Theft Auto V, with Rockstar slowly and mysteriously teasing the game before fully announcing it. However, Red Dead Redemption 2’s announcement seems noticeably faster, with a trailer out in only two days.
Rockstar has stated that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for Xbox One and PS4, but with a PC version releasing later in the game’s life cycle being a strong bet.
