How do the Realme Buds 2 fair in that aspect? Let’s find out if it’s the best pair of earphones you can get for Rs. 599. Here is our Realme 2 Buds review.

Design and Build

As stated earlier, the Realme Buds 2 are build with solid materials and feel much more premium than the price tag might indicate. Right from the housing to the cables, the earphones feel robust. The bottom half of the cable is braided which adds to both the overall strength and aesthetics. The top half, while not made of the same material, has a ridges pattern which makes in tangle-free. Realme has paid close attention to detail and its evident with the way the Realme Buds 2 are built. Not just the way they’re built, but the Realme Buds 2 also look attractive. The housing has a very subtle “R” branding on either side with yellow accents on the rubber tips. Even the remote control has a yellow band running all around in the small crevice where the buttons depress which adds a very subtle, yet nice touch. The earbuds can be attached to one another through magnets which helps while storing the earphones away. There’s even a cable organizer in the same yellow accent and this helps if you want to put the earphones into your pocket or into your backpack. Nifty inclusion.

Fit

The earbuds are angled for a comfortable fit, due to which they stay in your ear even if you move your head around while performing rigorous activities. There are 3 pairs of replacement ear tips provided in the box. The overall fit is comfortable, and the soft material of the ear tips ensures you can use the earphones for an extended period without any irritation.

Sound Quality

If you’re looking for thumping bass, you’re going to love it. If you’re looking for clear vocals, you’re going to love it. If you’re looking for balanced sound for watching movies or playing games, you’re going to love it. In short, no matter what you’re looking for, the Realme Buds 2 provide a fantastic experience. And for a pair of earphones costing Rs. 599, that’s commendable. While there’s no active noise cancellation going on, the tight fit does block some ambient noise. The sound quality overall is fantastic and is one of the best out there. There are some crackling noises at 100% volume while listening to notes with higher frequencies, but it didn’t seem to cause a lot of trouble during our usage.

Call Quality

Using the Realme Buds 2 for calls too resulted in a good experience. The other party did say at times that it was rather noisy, but if you’re in a secluded environment it should do just fine. There were no issues hearing the voice of the other party.

Remote Control Functionality

The in-line remote control also has consistent yellow accents going on. The “+” and “-” keys work as intended and the center button can be used to play/pause music, send/end calls and double-pressing the key skips to the next track while triple pressing it goes to the previous track. Nothing fancy here, purely functional.

Verdict

By now, you obviously know how we feel about the Realme Buds 2. They are a fantastic offering for Rs. 599 and to be honest, there is hardly anything to pick on and complain about them at this price. The sound quality is great, they are built really well, looks funky and is affordable. The mic quality isn’t the best while taking calls, but that’s not a big deal if you don’t speak on the phone a lot. Get it while the stocks last, because they are going to run out of them ‘real’ soon. Trust ‘me’.
