The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd revealed she has been fighting with her ex-husband and claims it’s because he’s jealous of her recent engagement to Fox News Correspondent Rick Leventhal. Kelly and Michael Dodd have been seen on the show in the past couple of seasons working well together while co-parenting their daughter, however, it seems Kelly’s engagement is causing some friction between the exes.

Dodd has been a staple on the show for many seasons now and brings the drama with her most of the time as she is easy to anger. Regardless of her sometimes mean girl persona that is portrayed on the show, she was still a woman who was looking for her prince charming. After her 11-year-long marriage with Micheal fell apart in 2017, she focused on raising their 13-year-old daughter, Jolie. However, Kelly was still looking for “Mr. Right” when she was introduced to her future fiancé by Ramona Singer at a party in the Hamptons. The couple, who have only been dating for a couple of months, announced their engagement to fans this last weekend while at BravoCon in New York.

The reality star can not relish in her “happy ever after” yet, as her ex-husband has been giving her some trouble. According to People while at BravoCon last weekend, the reality star told fans that Michael had not quite come to grips yet that she had moved on and will be married soon. The 44-year-old revealed, “Michael and I are fighting right now.”

Kelly sat at the panel alongside her other Real Housewives of Orange County castmates - Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter. Emily Simpson, and Braunwun Windham-Burke - where she said that the fighting had taken its toll as she believed Michael would have been happy for her. She revealed that she and her ex-husband had actually been arguing since the news was announced, saying, “We’re not in the best shape right now.” She then went on to claim it’s because Micheal is “jealous of the engagement.”

Regardless of the negativity and fighting with Micheal, Kelly is trying her best to be happy and in love and is getting ready for her upcoming wedding with Rick. Though they plan to tie the knot next year, they will have to deal with the long-distance engagement in the meantime since Leventhal lived in New York City and Dodd resided in Orange County. The reality star is hoping that her fiancé will be transferred to Los Angeles soon so they can start living together. But fans should not get their hopes up to see this couple on the screen, as Dodd made it very clear while sitting on the panel that Rick will not be making an appearance on The Real Housewives of Orange County any time soon, saying she did not think Fox would allow him to film.
